Working with Kennedy Construction Services, run by Joe Kennedy, was a great experience from beginning to end. Early on in the process Joe told my wife and I that he would help us build our dream house and that is exactly what he did. It was a big project, a four-story brownstone in Bed-Stuy, which needed a lot of work. There was a lot of beautiful old detail but everything else had to be either replaced or updated. The work included structural work, all new plumbing, electrical and HVAC, new kitchens and bathrooms, new floors and facade, outdoor deck, and restoration to all the fireplaces and 19th century woodwork. At every juncture Joe’s crew was top notch, finishing everything on time and budget and the jobsite had a great atmosphere of camaraderie.

Personally Joe is an easygoing, levelheaded GC with great taste and ingenuity. He was always available and was totally committed to making the project be the best that it could possibly be. The budgeting and fund allocation was totally transparent and I always felt that my renovation was in good hands. I would recommend Kennedy Construction to anyone with a building project big or small.

I've known and worked with Joseph Kennedy and Kennedy Construction Services on at least three projects over the past sixteen years. These include an office renovation, a pre-war co-op renovation in Manhattan and, most recently, parts of a wood frame house renovation in Brooklyn. Kennedy Construction Services did a gut renovation of our apartment, and we couldn't be happier with the results. He and his team took an apartment with out-of-date electric, warped, stained walls that needed re-plastering, an inefficient use of space, and floors that needed an overhaul, and they turned it into a modern, airy, and beautiful home. Joe was level-headed and always easy to talk things through with, he had fantastic ideas about design and construction, and he teamed up with people who were the same. The cabinet maker he worked with made beautiful custom cabinets that perfectly fit our kitchen, for example. He came in under budget, and if there were delays, Joe and his team worked overtime to make up for it. We like Joe so much that we'll be using him again when we combine our existing unit with the unit next to it.
